Tres-man, I don't know if you're reading this, but I want you to know that we love you VERY much and we are sending you positive energy! You are so courageous and a true inspiration to everyone around you. Wishing you serenity and sending lots of love -
Hi all: in case anyone is checking here for updates on Tres, this is an email from our friend Myron from Sunday April 15:
"There is no easy way to say this. The cancer is back. And, yesterday the doctors determined that it has spread to his liver, spleen, kidneys and lungs. The situation is suddenly very grave, and the doctors estimate it will be just a matter days before our friend is taken from us.
Tres is at home in San Antonio surrounded by his wonderful family and those few of us from his family of friends in Dallas who got word and drove down on short notice. He is lucid, and he does not seem to be in pain. But is very, very weak. And though speech is extremely difficult, he still is able musters up flashes of pure Tres sparkle.
You are all friends who have expressed your care and concern for him over the many months of his tough fight, and I know how very much he appreciated that.
I also knew that you would want to know and keep him in your thoughts."
The latest from Myron is that Tres is continuing to slowly slip from us, and is now just with his closest family.
I was misdiagnosed with testicular cancer in October of 2005 and went through two courses of chemotherapy before being correctly diagnosed with Lymphoma in April 2006.
